


The performance of the Mercedes-Benz workshop in Zawawi Trading (ZTC), is measured in terms of quality of the back-up service it provides to its customers and the influence it makes on their satisfaction levels. The size of the workshop and the state-of-the-art facilities available within, corroborate the above statement. Also, this situation calls for technical excellence and very high skill levels in all aspects of workshop operations, right form co-ordination to communication.
Most of our technicians, supervisors and customer attending staff have received training on their respective jobs from the Principal, either in-house or at the Regional Center in Dubai or at the factory in Germany. The Daimler's Marketing Academy provides these training courses, which are technical, non-technical or managerial.
The customer-attending service advisers, are diagnostic technicians too. Thanks to the futuristic Star-diagnostic system, instant diagnosis is provided even for the otherwise complicated product problem. The "Cellete" bench indicates accurately not only the deviations in the key physical dimensions of the body and chassis in any vehicle with known parameters, but also helps correct these deviations. The huge machine shop of ZTC houses many sophisticated machine tools that carry out all kinds of machining operations within amazingly close tolerances.
The line-up of special tools and equipment make the work of the technicians quick, easy and accurate. Their productivity levels remain at peak all the time of the day, thanks to the pollution-free and air-cooled working environment. The knowledge of these technicians is constantly updated by the periodical service literature received from the Principals. Whenever there is a major product update or a new model is introduced in the market, the trainers from the Principals visit the workshop to provide first-hand training to the technicians.
There is a 3-tier quality control system. The supervisor of the section verifies the quality of the jobs carried out by the technicians. The tester / final-controller further filters down the quality in outgoing vehicles. The further on-slaught is at the hands of the service advisers who test the vehicles as per the check-lists before delivery to the customers. Service advisers physically deliver the vehicles to the customers and necessary explanation of the jobs carried out is provided at a personal level.
Zawawi Trading Company has introduced ExpressService to meet the specific requirements of its valued customers. This new specially equipped state-of-the-art facility allows the customers to service their vehicles in less than 60 minutes. ExpressService from Zawawi Trading is effective, fast and economical. The customers do not need to make an appointment and while they wait, oil changes, tyre changes, replacement of an exhaust, brakes or other wear and tear items are carried out by professional technicians.
