Zawawi Trading Company began operations in early 1972 dealing in typewriters, air conditioners, gas cookers etc. and by the end of the year had acquired the prestigious and much sought after Mercedes-Benz agency.

Over the years the company has grown from strength to strength and today as the exclusive distributor for the entire range of Mercedes-Benz cars and commercial vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman, it is one of the largest automotive dealers and market leaders in the executive and luxury car segment.

ZTC also offers a wide range of quality pre-owned Mercedes-Benz cars in a separate dedicated showroom. All cars undergo a thorough 100 point quality check before they are offered for sale.

The company also has the franchise of the exclusive "Maybach" and "SLR" range of cars.
The company has grown and evolved to its present stature owing to the dedication of its totally committed and motivated work force of over 300 employees. Omanisation has been progressing at a steady pace and today, nearly 46% of its staff are Omani nationals.

The Mercedes-Benz showroom is truly a landmark in the automotive trade in the sultanate, since it combines standards as set by an international company like Mercedes-Benz and also the traditional building design philosophy as prevailing in the capital area. The design of the showroom is such that it has a customer friendly surrounding and the interior is unobstructed by columns or any other objects, thereby facilitating the easy movement of visitors and also allowing the maximum flexibility with arrangement of cars on display.

The showroom also has an AMG corner and a customer lounge with an accessory shop, which flank the maim showroom floor. As an added service to our customers, the lounge provides comfortable seating and two large plasma screens showing selected video clips that are of interest to customers.
