Traffic updates, communication and entertainment are all accessible at the push of a button with the latest audio systems (optional extra).

Featuring the Sound 5 radio (with MP3-compatible single CD player) and Sound 20 radio (with additional telephone keypad), the audio range also includes the Sound 50 APS, an entry-level radio and navigation system. It enables you to navigate, make phone calls, send and receive text messages – or simply listen to music. The range is rounded off with the innovative COMAND APS control and display system with navigation module. And the MOST (media-oriented systems transport) multimedia technology employs fibre optics which allow you to network and operate communication devices at high data transfer speeds.

You can also use the CD changer in your Viano MARCO POLO to listen to MP3 CDs with up to 99 tracks.

An AUX interface in the glove compartment for external devices such as MP3 players can be specified as an option. An extra jack-type connector cable, which is required for linking up devices to the 3.5-mm jack socket in the glove compartment, is available as an accessory.

The COMAND APS control and display system is available as an option for the Viano MARCO POLO. Integrated in the centre console, it centralises control of the radio, DVD player and, if fitted, the CD changer, telephone and sound and navigation system.

COMAND APS offers dynamic navigation using RDS/TMC functionality and a navigation DVD. If you want to navigate and listen to CD music at the same time, COMAND APS switches automatically from map to arrow-based navigation. The clear directions displayed in the instrument cluster mean that you will not be distracted from the business of driving.

If you hold something firmly in your hands, it won’t slip away. In the Viano MARCO POLO this is particularly true of the optional multifunction steering wheel.
