On the occasion of the international match against South Africa in Leverkusen, general sponsor Mercedes-Benz presented the new team bus to the German national football team: a Mercedes-Benz Travego M. On the test track in Grevenbroich the bus completed its first test against the SLR McLaren Stirling Moss. It was a tongue-in-cheek comparison made between the largest and most comfortable "taxi" and the current fastest and most exclusive model from Mercedes-Benz. Passengers Oliver Bierhoff, Robert Enke, Sami Khedira and Piotr Trochowski were seen enjoying the extraordinary race, particularly as the driver at the wheel of the SLR was none other than Klaus Ludwig, Germany’s most successful touring car driver.
